Paulo Mordehachvili

Paulo is Arpejo Invest’s founding partner. Paulo has over 20 years experience in private equity investment, corporate management and operating restructuring, and entrepreneurship. Arpejo was founded on the desire to seek transformational projects in Private Equity.

Paulo started his career at JPMorgan, in New York, in the Latin American Equities group. In the 2003-2006 period, Paulo led the successful operating turnaround of DBA Engenharia de Sistemas, with significant Ebitda margin improvement (from -5% to 16% in the period) and Revenue growth (from R$134 million to R$185 million in the same period). DBA had approximately 2000 employees.

In 2006, Paulo joined Axxon Group as partner and member of the investment committee. Axxon is Brazil’s reference name in middle market private equity, with over R$2.5 billion in assets and commitments under management. Until 2017, Paulo led investments and took part of the Board of Directors of Mills, and of Clinicas Oncologicas Integradas, COI. Axxon exited Mills in its 2010 IPO, and exited COI in a strategic sale in 2015. Paulo also led the investments in RHMED and Knijnik Engenharia. During his tenure at Axxon Group, the PE firm consolidated its position in Brazil and with institutional investors based in the US and Europe, including endowments, pension funds, insurance groups and family offices. Paulo took part in Axxon’s successful fundraisings for Fund II (USD320 million) in 2011 and Fund III (USD400 million) in 2016. Paulo graduated with a BA cum laude from Harvard University, and holds an MBA from Insead.

André Pimentel

Andre joined Performa as Senior Partner in 2012, and became the firm’s sole partner in 2015 until 2018, when Paulo Mordehachvili joined the firm, also as partner. Andre has vast experience in business management, major restructuring and turnaround projects, along over 25 years of activity as executive and consultant.

Along his career, Andre led some of the largest and most relevant operating improvement and restructurings in Brazil, and also abroad, in large and medium size companies such as Grupo Pão de Açucar, Grupo Exito (Colombia), Levorin Pneus, Centauro, Texfyt, Arvedi Metalfer, MV Augusta, Naos Bioderma, Intermédia Saúde, C&A, Frigorífico Frigol, and among others.

Andre acted as Managing Director of Galeazzi & Associados during a 10 year tenure, and as Director at PwC, before that. Andre holds a mechanical engineering degree from UFRJ, a master of science in Industrial Engineering at COPPE/UFRJ, and an MBA in Corporate Finance at PUC-RJ.
